Jan and Nix

Grace, what have You done?
Murdered for me on that cross
Accused in absence of wrong
My sin washed away in Your blood

Too much to make sense of it all
I know that Your love breaks my fall
The scandal of grace, You died in my place
So my soul will live

And it’s all, because of You, Jesus

Thank You Jesus

Salvation is not like an insurance offer where you have to die first before you get the benefit. When God saves, He saves us not only from hell, but also from our weak, proud and sinful nature.

Amazing grace! How sweet the soundThat saved a wretch like me.I once was lost, but now I am found,Was blind but now I see.

That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now I am found,
Was blind but now I see.

Christ is your righteousness because He took the stripes you deserve. Which means you don’t have to take them any more. Go ahead, turn the curtain on and let the light of Easter flood in. It Is Finished. — at Walkway, Reflections of the Way of the Cross, BGC.

I’m stubborn and he is oblivious but thank you Jesus for not giving up on us, transforming us into your likeness. We are grateful.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (ESV) And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

There are mornings I wake up beleaguered by my past sins. It is almost as though my conscience waits until I am too tired to fight it, and then it wages its war against me. Concerning the battle of the ever-accusing conscience, Horatius Bonar says, “For that which satisfies the holiness of God cannot but satisfy the conscience of the sinner. God, pointing to the altar says, ‘That is enough for me;’ the sinner responds and says, ‘It is enough for me.’”

I am refreshed and awakened by the thought that God looks at Christ’s sacrifice as enough to cover every sin I can remember, and every sin my broken memory has forgotten. I do not have to look at or rehearse my past to prove my sorrow. I only need to take in my view of the blessedness of Jesus’ final words on the altar, “It is finished.”

True Things

I’m not the mistakes that I carry

I’m not my scars and my history

There are true things inside of me
I have been afraid to see
I believe, help my unbelief
Would you say again what You said to me

I am loved and I am free

Eternal Blessings

Bless people with material things and they will only be materially rich on earth. Bless them with Eternal things and they will be blessed forever. Blessing them with Eternal things and you are .. http://kristinekaye.wordpress.com/2013/01/12/the-quality-of-blessings/

Jesus is a beauty to behold. He is pleasure to the eyes and joy to the soul. He is an eternal gift that the Father gave to us that our joy may be complete. Jesus is himself the fulfillment of the biblical command to rejoice in the Lord, always.  Never-ending, eternal, forever, always. He is the joy– our joy– that never ends.
We enjoy God for Himself. We enjoy him for his “I am’s” and His “I will’s”.  He is so willing to give us Himself, and He already did through Jesus Christ.  I agree with John Piper that God’s desire is for us to be satisfied by him and enjoy him forever.
God is indeed most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him. If Jesus promises to be with us all the days of our lives, then there is more than enough reason to rejoice in the Lord always.

“Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.” (Psalm 86:4)
We sometimes foolishly just seek happiness. But thank you Jesus for tirelessly restoring our joy. We are complete because of you. We love you Jesus.
