If Jesus already won the victory, why are there still people living a life of defeat? ANSWER: Simply because of disobedience. Disobedience of what the Lord Jesus tells us to do, and how we should live as saved sinners.
"If you love me, you will obey what I command….Whoever has my commands, and obeys them he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him” (John 14:15,21)
Just like sewing a shirt, it’s hard to put the “sinulid”(us) in the “karayom”(Jesus) and it takes few to many tries to put it in(follow and obey). But when we finally make the “sinulid” in the “karayom”(us living in Christ), we can now and with Christ, fix and sew the shirt(our lives). And because we have a nice and fixed shirt, we can now walk anywhere with confidence that we are covered and not naked. WE ARE COVERED BY HIS BLOOD, CLOTHED BY HIS GLORY.
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says" (James 1:22) But when we know that sewing the shirt can only fix it, but we give up, not having the “sinulid” in the “karayom”(us not living in Christ), we will just be walking around with torn shirt, or even naked. WE ARE DEFEATED..
Yes, we are not perfect. It is hard to obey God but when we know that there is something waiting for us on the other side of it, it is all worth it..
THANK GOD THAT NOT ONLY WE CAN SEW BACK THE SHIRT, BECAUSE OF HIS GRACE, WE CAN HAVE A BRAND NEW SHIRT!
When Jesus died on the cross, He didn’t just die for our sins, He died as us! When He was buried, He was buried for us and as us. When God the Father raised Jesus from the dead, never to die again, Jesus was also raised as us. Not just for us, but as us. This is our new identity. Just as we were once identified with the old Adam, now we are identified with the last Adam, the second Man. The Father raised Jesus far above Satan, far above all principalities, far above all power, might and dominion, far above every name that is named in this world and in the world to come. He is above everyone else. And when the Father made Him sit down at His right hand, the centre of the whole universe, where do we fit in? Well, we are actually seated with Him! With Him, we are crowned with glory and honour, far above Satan and every name that is named! And that is what the devil doesn’t want you to find out about your salvation. He wants you to think of yourself as separate from Christ. He wants you to think that you are on your own. He wants you to think that when you do good, then you are with Christ, but when you do bad, you are separate from Christ. The truth is that you are in Christ forever! Knowing that gives you the power to do good. The good news is that once you are in Christ, nothing can separate you from Him and His love. Romans 8:35 says, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” We are in Christ forever!
i did this demo out of loneliness with joy.joy is when you’re experiencing something painful, but there’s the glorious realization that there is still beauty and loveliness to be found. Thank you Lord.
“"God uses broken things. It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume." God uses mightily those who have been hurt deeply and in this aspect, brokenness is a great blessing.”—Vance Havner
“Knowledge is essential, but it’s not sufficient.”
1 Corinthians 13:2, “And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
Paul then says, “But if anyone loves God, he is known by God” (1 Corinthians 8:3). It’s not just about information. When you love God, you don’t just know a lot of facts about him. You love him. There’s a relationship and he knows you.
Do you want to brag about something? Brag about the fact that God knows you. Don’t boast about how much you know. Boast about the fact that the God of the universe calls you by name.
“Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” (Ephesians 3:20 LB)
